Our Mission
We provide a free medical courier service for the NHS across Derbyshire. Our aim is to help the medical services save lives and save the NHS money.
Our trained volunteers transport blood, medicines, medical equipment and other items that would otherwise be sent by other paid-for services.
We operate 24 hours a day,
7 days a week,
365 days a year.
Our volunteers deliver safely and reliably in all weathers.
100% Volunteer Run
Derbyshire Blood Bikes is run entirely by volunteers. We all give our time and expertise for free.
All of our riders hold an advanced riding qualification as well as undergoing training to safely transport medical items.
We also need people as controllers to triage requests and make the most efficient use of our riders.
Help Us By Donating
All our services are funded by your kind donations. Without the support of you we simply wouldn’t be able to operate. All our volunteers give their time for free – your donations help to pay for fuel and maintenance of our fleet of motorbikes and cars.
